An Open Letter to my valued patients

Dear valued patients:

These past few weeks have been unlike anything we’ve experienced before. I am both touched and encouraged by how we as a community have come together. It is our shared responsibility to join in the fight to “flatten the curve” to slow the spread of COVID-19 and to support our valued healthcare providers who are working tirelessly at the front line. 

The health and safety of our employees and patients is of utmost importance, thus, in accordance with recommendations of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, we have closed our office until further notice. I will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will provide updates. As I work from home, I am still available to assist you both online and over the phone. We are dedicated to our patients and will find solutions through this difficult period. 

On a positive note, I am excited to announce that we have created a Facebook Page where I will be regularly posting updates on our dental practice as well as relevant information about COVID-19 from reliable and credible sources. Please follow us here: https://www.facebook.com/drfrancisklong/.

In addition, we have created two websites: Dr. Francis K Long  and  Smile in Thornhill Dental Care.  Part of our commitment to serving our patients includes providing information that helps them to make more informed decisions about their oral health needs.  These websites are resources we hope you’ll find both useful and interesting.

During these unprecedented times, we must draw upon the strength of our values. Our dental team values accountability, flexibility, and reasonableness in all our patient interactions. Throughout this crisis, we are committed to continue to demonstrate these values and remain true to our mission.  I would like to thank each one of my patients for the great deal of trust you have placed in me and my team over the years. We are in this uncertain time together, and in that same spirit, we will get through this together.
